At Collard Brickwork, we recently completed a full parapet wall rebuild in Heathrow, Greater London. The original wall had failed due to inappropriate repair methods — a mix of cement mortar with lime mortar alongside a cavity rebuild disrupted the historic fabric and resulted in moisture ingress and root growth within the cavity. To rectify this, we carefully dismantled the defective sections and rebuilt the wall using NHL 3.5 lime mortar in a 12-inch Flemish bond, restoring structural integrity, breathability and heritage authenticity. The project was completed within one week, reflecting our commitment to quality and efficiency.
